A Little Distraction

An announcement is heard over the loudspeakers at CLHQ:
"GENIE ... Get your behind to the Mom's offices! Sherry and Rita would like a word with you."
"Yes? Is there a problem?" Genie asked.

North laughed, "Great choice for a name for you puppy!! I think Sher and Rita just saw the name and didn't associate it with anything else other than their MIB!!"

"Now, wait a minute! No fighting necessary. I never said Michael! I said "Mr. Samuelle." DeLeah mentioned "her" 12 day old puppy, Mikey, who is actually my puppy till he's a bit bigger I was just referring to MY wolf-dog who's named Mr. Samuelle (as I stated in my profile). Of course, if anyone does want to fight over Michael, I'm game." said Genie who can say that Mr. Samuelle is hers any day of the week
"Scuse me Genie, didn't connect somehow with the dog." Sly said, who *only* fights with North for Ops time. (even then it is just a little fight, she is head of oversight after all.)
"No problem, Sylvia. I can see how it would happen (especially since it wasn't just you who didn't make the connection.) In fact, I even wondered if it would happen after I reread it when I sent it. Imagine, people wanting to fight over a puppy...Ya'll really don't have to fight, the only ones that have been claimed are Mikey & Walter... there's 7 more up for grabs." Genie laughed.
"Ahh but then again Sly.. I do share..." North corrected. "Not like those other 2 ladies that shall remain nameless!!" North laughed wickedly.

Sherry placed an arm around Genie and walks her into Rita's office. "Problem?" No, no problem at all ..."
Sherry made sure that Genie stood in the appropriate space on the floor where there appears to be a bit of a spill. "Now, Genie," Rita smiled, "We simply want to you to stare at this computer monitor for a couple of hours and make sure there are no anomalies. We'll be back in a little while to check on you."

Sherry rounded on North, "Not Share! How can you say that, North! We share ... we share Mr. MIB with each other ... kicking and screaming all the way!"
"North, North," Rita took her to task as well, "you know Sherry and I have an understanding and as long as Michael accepts it that is just the way it is. As for yourself since you have more than the heir and the several spares at your disposal well it's easy for you to share Operations and anyone else. I know a stable the size of yours requires maintenance. I think Sherry and I do rather well sharing just one man and no other ones."

"Sherry, Rita, Sorry, I was just on my way into Section when you called me here. I've got a mission. Gotta go." Genie slipped out of Rita's office quickly, before Sherry & Rita had a chance to respond.
Genie felt arms grab her and escort her back in. Sherry smiled. "Thanks Gunther."
"Welcome back Genie. Good thing Michael assigned Gunther to us." Rita said as Gunther closed the door behind him.
"Don't worry Genie we talked to Operation and you are needed for the mission." Sherry said as she wrapped her arm around her and escorted her back. "Now where were we."

"UH OH! Sounds like genie's got herself into another mess" DeLeah thought to herself as she heard the announcement as she slipped out of Michael's office. As she approached Rita and Sherry's offices DL saw Genie trying to make a beeline for Michael's office but was stopped by Gunther.
"Thank you." Rita and Sheri told Gunther.
Just then Genie's cell rang. She gave Rita and Sherry a quizzical look saying 'ha ha now whatcha gonna do?'
Genie answered it saying, "Yes?"
"Katerina?" Michael's sexy strongly accented voice came over the phone.
Genie sighed, 'How she loved to hear that voice.'
"Briefing now." Michael commanded as he hung up not giving her the chance to explain the situation.
Genie stood up and headed towards the door. "Hate to break it to you ladies but duty and the master call."
"Uh uh," Sherry said smirking. "We got clearance to keep you in here for the next 4 days if need be."
"On who's authority?" Genie demanded.
"Operations." Rita put in smugly.
"Well late news flash ladies but I'm not on Operations team. I'm on Michael's!" Genie smiled.
Sherry gave Genie her lousy version of the blank stare and simply said, "Get over it!"
Genie shrugged her shoulders and said, "It's your ass not mine when Michael finds out."
"That's right" Rita said. "That's two less asses that you have to worry about on the field."
MEANWHILE AT THE BRIEFING...
As ops came in and began the briefing he made a special announcement. "There has been a personnel change for this mission. Curlly will be replacing genie in tactical."
"Why?" Michael asked his blank stare firmly intact.
"Special request from the mommies."
"Purpose?" Michael asked.
Ops just glared at him and continued on with the briefing.
MEANWHILE IN THE OFFICES...
Rita's phone rings shortly after her and Sherry has reseated Genie at the desk personally escorted of course.
"Yes?" Rita's voice rings out flirtatiously.
"I have something for you." Michael said seductively.
Rita stopped breathing for a moment, "I'll be right there," she said as she shut the phone and put it away.
"What's up?" Sherry asked.
Rita was lost in thought for a moment, "huh?" she asked after a moment.
"Who was that on the phone?" Sherry asked sarcastically.
"Oh. uh... just a contact that says he has some vital information but I gotta run and go meet him." Rita explained.
"Ok well I've got a meeting too but Gunther can keep an eye on her."
Genie frowns at that idea but keeps quiet anyway.
"Fine" Rita said grabbing her purse and heading out the door ahead of Sherry.
5 MINUTES LATER.....
Sherry is finally heading towards Michael's office after having been caught by North in the hallway wanting to know what all the commotion was about with missing operatives being held in the offices. She had barely gotten away with telling North that the situation was under control before she made a dash for Michael's office leaving North with more questions than she'd had before they'd spoken.
Just as Sherry was about to open the door she felt someone beside her. Looking up slowly she saw Rita.
"What are you doing here?" a surprised Sherry asked.
"um....meeting my contact" Rita mumbled.
"Uh huh." Sherry said. "In Michael's office?"
"Yea well go figure. That's usually where I go to meet with Michael" Rita said sarcastically. "Speaking of which, What are YOU doing here?"
"Um....having my meeting" Sherry admitted.
"In Michael's office huh?" Rita asked.
"Yea well our offices are kind of occupied at the moment now aren't they?" Sherry said sarcastically.
"Never mind. Let's just go in." Rita said as she opened the door. "Hello Mich...." her voice trailed off at what she saw inside.
"What the..." Sherry asked.
Both girls looked at the flickering hologram for a moment. Sherry turned her head sideways and looked at it too.
"um.....Sherry? What are you doing?" Rita asked.
"Getting a better view of him"
"Oh...ok" Rita said giving her a crazy look. "Does he look better sideways than right side up?" she asked.
"Definitely!" Sherrie said.
