Teacher's First Day
By Rita
DragonLady stood in front of her class all of whom had laptops on their desks in front of them. She was grumbling to herself at the podium, "How do these things happened to me? And how did the gossip maven ever find out." The gossip maven should have known that it would catch Madeline's eye.
With her hair up in a loose bun and tendrils of curls falling out a voice from the back of the room spoke, "Could you please speak up I would not want to miss any part of the lecture. It would detract from the SHEER enjoyment of it."
DragonLady glared at Curlly before she continued. "To REVIEW the point of online flirting is to get the target to talk about themselves. So you make them feel at ease by speaking their language when possible and be as friendly as possible to give them impression that you are a person to TRUST. So lets practice. The computers are rigged so that each of you are hooked up to someone of the opposite sex in the room but you do not know whom."
The students began typing hesitantly at first and then with more skill in confidence. DragonLady observed from her computer, which was linked to all the computers. She was especially interested in one conversation in particular.
SouthernMomma: How would you describe yourself?
Scoundrel: I am kind of a lone WOLF yet leader of the pack.
SouthernMomma: Doesn't every wolf need a mate?
DragonLady stifled a giggle at that statement as she read Southernmomma's conversation. Although she was curious how the other conversant got into the system. This was so much fun it made up for the fact that she was stuck doing this. Another conversation caught her eye.
JumpedOvertheCandlestick: Now what do you think the definition of flirting is?
HorseCrazy: Well from my perspective if I was flirting with you there would be no doubt about it.
JumpedOvertheCandlestick: Now isn't that a matter of opinion?
DragonLady saw this and decided to save the girl. They had had enough for the day. It seemed they were all learning the lesson well. "Well, it seems to be that time class now be sure to do the homework assignment!"
The class filed out NORTHSTAR made a beeline for the door. It seemed she had a pressing engagement. Maybe DragonLady should explain that some things were just not said in the chat upon first conversing with someone as she laughed out loud.
